Refund & Cancellation Policy
At THE DDS COMPANY, we stand behind the quality of our products and services. This policy outlines our refund and cancellation procedures for all portfolio company offerings.
Product Returns
For physical products ordered through our B2B dental supply distribution services:
30-Day Return Window
- Unopened Products: Full refund within 30 days of delivery
- Opened Products (Resellable): Store credit within 30 days of delivery
- Damaged or Defective Products: Full refund or replacement at any time
How to Initiate a Return
- Contact support@theddscompany.com within 30 days of delivery
- Provide your order number and reason for return
- Receive a Return Authorization (RA) number via email
- Ship the product with RA number clearly visible on the package
- Refund processed within 5-7 business days of receiving the return
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Pharmaceuticals and controlled substances
- Custom or special-order items
- Perishable goods
- Items marked "Final Sale" at time of purchase
- Products with broken tamper-evident seals (for safety reasons)
Shipping Costs
- Our Error (wrong item, defective): We cover return shipping costs
- Change of Mind: Customer covers return shipping costs
- Original Shipping: Non-refundable unless we made an error
Subscription Cancellation
For subscription services (content platforms, software, professional memberships):
Monthly Subscriptions
- Cancel anytime through your account dashboard or by contacting support
- Access continues through the end of your current billing period
- No refunds for partial months
- No cancellation fees
Annual Subscriptions
- Within 30 Days: Pro-rata refund of unused months
- After 30 Days: No refund; access continues through the end of your annual term
- Downgrade to monthly available at renewal
How to Cancel
- Log into your account
- Navigate to Settings → Subscription
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm your cancellation
- Receive confirmation email
Or contact support@theddscompany.com to cancel.
Professional Services
For consulting, implementation, or custom development services:
- Before Work Begins: Full refund of any deposits
- Work in Progress: Refund for incomplete milestones; payment due for completed work
- Completed Work: No refund for delivered services accepted by client
Service agreements may contain specific terms that supersede this general policy.
Refund Processing
Processing Times
- Credit Card Refunds: 5-7 business days to appear on your statement
- Store Credit: Issued immediately upon approval
- Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
- Check Refunds: 10-14 business days (if original payment was by check)
Refund Method
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. If the original payment method is unavailable, we will contact you to arrange an alternative.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If you receive a damaged or incorrect order:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
- Provide photos of the damage or incorrect items
- Keep all original packaging until the issue is resolved
- We will arrange for replacement or refund at no additional cost
Chargebacks and Disputes
We encourage customers to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with their bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.
If a chargeback is filed for a legitimate transaction, we may provide documentation to dispute the claim and may suspend account access until the matter is resolved.
Exceptions
We reserve the right to make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis. Special circumstances may be considered at management discretion.
